Ingrid Fliter - Chopin: Nocturnes - BBC Radio Scotland 'Classics Unwrapped'

My Album of the Week is an album of Nocturnes of Frederic Chopin by the Argentinian pianist Ingrid Fliter. I’m going to start with the very first one that Chopin sent to his publisher. This is a nocturne in E Flat major, Opus 9 No. 2 that he composed whilst living in Vienna.

What to listen out for in a Chopin Nocturne? Listen out for the right hand, that beautiful almost aria-like melody.
