Mit seinen sympathischen und zum Tanzen animierenden Songs lädt der britische Sänger und Pianist Joe Stilgoe mit  „New Songs For Old Souls" zu einem musikalischen Festmahl ein. Die Tickets dafür haben sich Fans von Frank Sinatra bis hin zu Michael Bublé sicher schon besorgt. Mit spritzigen Stücken wie „Nobody Cares Like Me",  „Pocket Song" und „Gold On Silver", in denen der lässig phrasierende Sänger von einer Big Band begleitetet wird, feiert der Swing ein glänzendes Comeback. Aber auch in kleinen Besetzungen überzeugt Stilgoe mit geschmackvollen Interpretationen, dezent eingesetzten Scat-Vocals und stilsicherer Pianistik.
