    Biography

    Konstantin Krimmel, of German-Romanian heritage, began his musical training with the Choristers of St Georg in Ulm. In 2020 he completed his vocal studies with Professor Teru Yoshihara, graduating with distinction. Already in his student years Konstantin Krimmel developed a particular love for the concert and Lied repertoire. Having won numerous competitions and a place on the BBC New Generation Artists Scheme, he tours extensively in Germany and internationally, giving Lieder recitals and concerts at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and Konzerthaus Berlin, Frankfurt Opera, also in Rome, Paris, Oslo, at the Heidelberger Frühling, the Schubertíada Vilabertran, the Schubertiade in Schwarzenberg, as well as in Madrid, London, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, and the Pierre Boulez Saal in Berlin, to name only a few.

    Since autumn 2021 Konstantin Krimmel has been an ensemble member of the Bavarian State Opera, where in the coming 2023-24 season he will be appearing in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro as Figaro, in Die Zauberflöte as Papageno, and in Donizetti’s L‘Elisir d’amore as Belcore.

    Recently issued on Alpha Classics is his album Zauberoper with the Hofkapelle München directed by Rüdiger Lotter, featuring arias by Gluck, Mozart, Haydn and others; and in cooperation with the label CAvi-Music an album entitled Franz Liszt – Der du von dem Himmel bist, with Daniel Heide at the piano.
