Nominations Announced For The 2019 BBC Music Magazine Awards

The nominations have been announced for the 2019 BBC Music Magazine Awards and two Linn recordings are nominated!

Parle qui veut by Sollazzo Ensemble is nominated in the Choral category and Schumann & Mahler: Lieder by Florian Boesch and Malcolm Martineau is nominated in the Vocal category.

Sollazzo Ensemble's recording debut has already won one major award (a Diapason d'or de l'année), will it win a second at the BBC Music Magazine Awards? The fresh perspective Sollazzo Ensemble offers to this mediaeval repertoire has struck a chord with critics and fans alike.

Florian Boesch's recording of Schumann’s Op. 39, Liederkreis and Mahler’s Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen was awarded five stars for both performance and sound when it was reviewed in BBC Music Magazine. Can the Austrian baritone add another award to his collection?

The winners of the Awards will be announced at a ceremony on 10 April at Kings Place, London. In addition to the public awards, there are four jury awards: Premiere Recording, Newcomer of the Year, DVD of the Year and Recording of the Year.
