Palladian Ensemble features on Building a Library

Graham Sadler reviewed recordings of Rebel's Les Elemens on BBC Radio 3 CD Review this morning. The recording by Linn's Palladian Ensemble was featured and the reviewer said, "The Palladian Ensemble plays with real eloquence and imaginative ornamentation." He went on to explain that the ensemble had made some extensive adaptations to the work to match their small forces, most noticeable in the opening "Chaos" movement. He agreed that it is good to have this alternative take on Les Elemens, which  recreates domestic music as in 18th century France, but the fact that the piece is so heavily rearranged rules it out for the Building a Library choice.
