Phantasm - Locke - RTE Lyric FM 'Sound Out'

The notes of our next album of the consort music of Matthew Locke seems to want to discourage the listener by saying there may be no good reason to like consort music of Matthew Locke though the discerning ear might disagree because it’s a very fine recording. Another plus for this recording is that it reunites the Phantasm ensemble with the lutenist Elizabeth Kenny and their last album of the music of John Dowland winning a Gramophone award and the French equivalent of that the Diapason d'or de l'année. Out now on Linn Records.
