Fuga Libera
Fuga Libera
Fuga Libera, founded in 2004, is a most dynamic label. The repertoire stretches from late baroque to contemporary music, supported by eminent musicians as well as a host of young artists. Fuga Libera maintains partnerships with institutions such as the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, but also with festivals and concert halls in order to identify and highlight future stars.
'This is powerful music from a pretty much unknown composer. His modern-day champions play with passionate control, conveying both the intensity of his writing but also the structural underpinning that allows the emotions such poignancy and vehemence.'

Reviews
'There is no doubt that the singer has a good command of the form, a spontaneous sense of melody, excellent German diction, a sense of phrasing and poetry that he can usefully bring out here, placing his performance at a very honourable level.'
Forum Opéra
'Sabatier makes room for his instrument, in a finely Piazzollesque tango neuvo style.'
Diapason
'This is an opportunity for Alarcón and Sabatier, accompanied by the Dijon-Bourgogne Orchestra, to demonstrate their wonderful rapport and to honour these iconic pieces, which are essential to the bandoneon's status as a solo instrument.'
Le Soir
'Schumann combined with the Icelandic composer Árni Thorsteinson in this darkly poetic and highly imaginative disc.'
